Habitat Restore

Youth United

Grand Opening July 16, 2010!

Do you have kitchen cabinets, windows, doors or working appliances that you are replacing or leftover building materials from a project you have completed?  Rather than hauling these to a landfill or dump, there is a better way to dispose of them that is a win-win situation.

Habitat for Humanity of Geauga County is planning on opening a Habitat ReStore center that will accept these types of items and resell them to the public at a fraction of their original cost.  Individuals homeowners, contractors and businesses can donate items to the Restore, often qualifying for a tax deduction (please consult your tax advisor).  ReStore then sells these items to the public at typically 50 to 75% less than new retail price.  Rather than ending up in our landfills, these materials are reused and recycled. The proceeds from these sales are used to partner with hardworking Geauga county residents in need of affordable housing.  For additional information call the ReStore at (440) 564-7475.
