What Do You Get the Person Who Has Everything?

We've noticed a trend. When faced with the “what to give the person who has everything” dilemma, many folks are choosing to give a donation to honor their loved one. Way better than a tie, don't you think? When it truly is the thought that counts, why not be thoughtful and help someone in need?

One of our volunteers gathered her siblings to give a donation to this Habitat affiliate as a Christmas present for their father. He’s still smiling about it, she tells us!

Jessica Tull, of Bentleyville, held her tenth birthday party on behalf of Geauga County Habitat. Instead of asking for presents, Jessica asked for donations for Habitat. “I wanted to do it to help people,” said Jessica. After hearing about her party, her bus driver also donated to her Habitat birthday fund, and the Bentleyville Chief of Police stopped by to give a personal donation in honor of her birthday. When the party was over, Jessica and her guests felt great about giving and our Geauga County Partner Families benefitted from their generosity.

This works for surprise parties, birthdays, anniversaries, kids and seniors. Try this on your own, or email us if you would like an official letter of thanks to present to your guest of honor as well as their name and a short message on this website. Email or call us at 440.564.5848 for more information.

We can also schedule “Build Parties” for your group to actually work on a Habitat build site. How's that for a theme party that's really different?!
